Hotpoint

Hotpoint was founded in 1911 by Earl Richardson, who invented the first commercially successful electric iron with a "hot point" in 1905. Merging with General Electric in 1918, the brand became a staple for electric appliances, creating the first white enameled range (1924) and "moistureless" clothes dryer (1950).
