Founded in 1907 with roots in Thomas Edison’s inventions, GE Appliances has pioneered home convenience for over a century, introducing the first electric refrigerator (1925) and establishing its massive Louisville, KY, "Appliance Park" in 1951.
Following a failed merger with Electrolux, the company was acquired by Haier in 2016.
